Our Story
How It All Began
From the time Sheena was in Grade 6 she knew exactly what she wanted to do when she grew up. Candy has always been the love of her life, so when her Dad suggested owning a candy store she enthusiastically agreed. With the help of the Youth Coordinator at Community Futures Sheena began developing a business plan. While in school she was able to take the courses she needed to run her own business. Her company started out by selling Candy Kabobs in local stores and businesses, at conferences, weddings and the Farmer’s Market. On September 17, 2005 Sheena’s Sweets and Such opened for business!
Our Grand Re-Opening
Sheena’s Sweets had their grand opening at their new High River location on Saturday, May 14, 2011. Store owner Sheena Small has been running her candy store for over six years.
“It’s always nice to see a new business open in the downtown core,” said Mayor Emile Blokland, who was on hand to cut the ribbon at the official grand opening ceremony.
Sheena’s Sweets moved from their original location on Centre Street to 4th Avenue in downtown High River, and the new location features an exciting candy lane floor.
