The history goes back to Grade 6 when the idea came from her love of candy. A discussion between Sheena and Dad about what she might want to do when she graduated from school took place. Dad said,"How about a candy store?" and Sheena enthusiastically agreed. From there the journey began. A staff member from Community Futures heard us talking about the store and suggested we come down and talk to their youth co-coordinator. She began working on her business plan and from there she decided to explore what she might do to see if Sheena was serious about the idea. Sheena began with Candy Kabobs in local stores to sell, for weddings, conferences and businesses, and then moved into the Farmers' Market and for the next 3 years. The school worked with Sheena to ensure she had the necessary courses. In Sheena’s grade 12 year she researched financing, space, suppliers and staff. She found the space she is now at 112 Center St SE. High River. Sheena attended a gift show in August and opened her store on September 17, 2005. What a wonderful journey!
